These classic tablecoverings in the traditional Homespun pattern feature a simple beauty which stems from their heritage - the Appalachian Mountain homes of early America.
Loomed with the finest USA grown cotton and made in the mountains of Vermont, each tablecloth, napkin and placemat is individually cut and hand fringed, resulting in a top quality tablecovering suitable for any decor or occasion.
Machine wash in cold water, line dry.
There are napkins and placemats to match each tablecloth color.
About colors: 'Natural' is not the same color as 'Stone'-- For example, Solid Natural napkins and placemats do not match Stone/White, Stone/Cranberry, etc. The color 'Stone' is darker than 'Natural' and is more tan with a slight gray in the color tone.
Can't decide which color to choose? We also offer fabric swatches--in fact, we recommend them. If you'd like to order swatches, just send us your mailing address and a list of the colors you'd like to see. There is no charge for swatches.Click here to email us. Don't forget to include your mailing address in your email.
VERY IMPORTANT: Because of the natural fiber and weave, this item will shrink about 6% with a cold water wash and line dry. With machine drying (lowest dryer setting and cold water wash), expect a minimum of about 12% shrinkage in the length. Please keep this in mind when determining which size to order. If you plan to machine dry, we strongly recommend ordering the next larger size.

I found Mountain Laurel while looking for a place to buy homespun tablecloths. I have been using a homespun tablecloth for over 20 years. It was not from Mountain Laurel, but was selling what I was looking for. I ordered the 70" round tablecloths for my 48" table. I washed them in cold water and put them in the dryer on low heat. This is contrary to the care instructions given with the tablecloth. I knew they would shrink and they did. I did not want a long drop on the tablecloth. We use these for everyday. A long drop on the tablecloth gets "hung up" on the person sitting at the table and when they get up, they end up taking the tablecloth with them. these tablecloths were exactly what I was looking for. I am sure they will last longer than I will. Now I can get rid of the permanent press collection of tablecloths I have accumulated that show every stain and grease spot. The tablecloths are pricey, but you will NOT be sorry. Just remember that you need to consider the shrinkage when you purchase and launder. Thank you for an outstanding product.
Favorite kind of tablecloth....
I now have several of these in different lengths to accommodate table leaves and they are the only kind I will buy. They last for years!
I love my table cover! It's the second one I've gotten! I have a 54 x 54 square table and ordered the 70 x 70 special sized cover to allow for shrinkage since I planned on using the dryer and it's suggested to do that and I'm happy I did it. It washes like a dream! I iron mine because I'm a iron fanatic but you wouldn't have to. My only complaint is I'd like to have it in a golden color not the yellow that they sell. I like the yellow but I'd rather have a deeper shade. This being said, I love the ones I have!! Not a bad price either!! Order one...you'll love it too!!
Note from MLM: There is a gold color available--we will look into adding it to our selections!
Excellent Quality Homespun Tablecloth
I recently purchased a homespun tablecloth in a custom size on line. Much to my extreme pleasure, the tablecloth arrived at my house 3 days later! The quality is excellent. The tablecloth is a nice thick homespun fabric, not thin and cheap like the ones that you can sometimes find at the store. I am very happy with my purchase and will order more of these tablecloths in other colors now that I know the quality is so good.
This cloth is very sturdy, homespun looking, just what I wanted.A little pricy, paid more than I normally would, but worth it.
